St Thomas’ Pre-school Playgroup
Outings Procedure.
Parents will be notified in writing in advance of any outings and reminders will be put up on the door.
Outings will usually only take place in the local area, although visitors are invited to the Pre-school.
If a child is brought into Pre-school on the day of an outing this gives consent.
For an outing to take place there must be one adult for every two children. If there are not enough adults the outing will not take place.
There will be a minimum of two adults on any outing.
The adults will hold the children’s’ hands at all times. They will talk to the children about what they can see, where they are going etc.
The group will stay together at all times except when crossing roads.
The group leader will give directions and information to the adults before leaving the Pre-school.
All helpers will be made aware of this procedure.
