St Thomas’ Pre-School Playgroup,
Late collection of children policy.
All children are expected to be collected at 12 noon. If a parent or carer is delayed they are expected to phone the Pre-school on the mobile number which is 07703 664685.
If no one collects a child the member of staff in charge will phone the parents contact number after 20 minutes. If there is no reply all the other contact numbers will be phoned.
If we are unable to contact anyone after 1 hour the Duty Social Worker at The Children’s Schools and Families Unit will be informed. The number is 01923 274118 and is in the memory of the Pre-school mobile. Ask for the Duty Room and Duty Officer.
The person in charge will speak to the Duty Officer and explain the situation they will follow Social Services Procedure.
There will be two members of staff with the child at all times.
Reassurance will be given to the child at all times.
Charges will be made as set out in Partnership with Parents.
If parents/carers are regularly late the Pre-school reserves the right to increase charges &/or require the child to be collected early.
